ENGAGE WITH YOUR AUDIENCE

Being active in your social media communities is so important. Just tweeting once a day is not going to do anything for your business. Engage with your followers, speak with them, ask them questions, thank new followers, shoutout businesses you are enjoying and have conversations! Engagement will help you come across more personable and will earn trust amongst your target. 

PROVIDE VALUE YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE ENJOYS

Providing value is another key aspect you absolutely need in your strategy. What is your target market looking for help with? How can you solve their pain points? Keep these questions in mind when posting on social media, focus on how you can help them and give them valuable tips and resources! 

HAVE A UNIQUE PLAN FOR EACH SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM

To get maximum engagement across your social media channels, you want to have a unique presence while still keeping to your business goals and providing value to your target audience. For example, on Facebook you may want to talk about business tips and share business articles and resources. On Twitter, you may want to share advice and engage in Twitter chats to make yourself stand out as an expert in your field. On Instagram, you may want to share behind the scenes of your business and a day in the life of what you do and accomplish. Your audience will be more inclined to follow your different channels if they each have something valuable to offer!

How To Successfully Use Facebook Groups

In a previous blog post about Facebook Groups For Creatives, I had said I thought Facebook was a dying breed until I discovered Facebook groups. These Facebook groups have been a game changer for my business. I have not only received clients from them but have built incredible relationships from them!

PROVIDE VALUE

Position yourself as an expert in your field. What are your ideal clients pain points? Try solving them in a  post targeting them! 

ANSWER & ASK QUESTIONS

Facebook groups are a great way to not only learn new things but to receive feedback and ask questions so you can grow your knowledge. 

BE VISIBLE

By providing value and answering and asking questions, you are being visible. When you are visible in Facebook groups and people see your name over and over again they will see you as an expert in what you do and will spark their interest. 

DO NOT ONLY PROMOTE YOUR BIZ

Usually in groups there is a specific day where you can share your services and new posts. Do NOT only promote your business. This is such a turnoff and if you are not providing value and engaging with others people won't be interested. 

REACH OUT TO PEOPLE THROUGH PM

If you see someone struggling with a certain issue and you feel like you can help them, reach out to them through a private message. This will help you start building relationships and introducing yourself to new faces. This is also great if you want to inquire about their services or learn more about their business!

OFFER FREEBIES

Let's be honest, who doesn't love something that's free? Incentives are key in business. People want to know what is in it for them, so give them a taste! When people see free their eyes light up. Whether it is an ebook, a video series or a special promotion people will appreciate that you gave it to them for free. Hey you never know what will come from it!

START YOUR OWN GROUP

Community is a huge aspect of any business. Starting your own group is a great way to build a community around your brand and have a specific group that you can go to!
